Activities and Volunteer Opportunities 


Eurocentres students can enjoy many kinds of leisure activities in Silicon Valley. For examples of school activities, please see the table below. Our staff will also give you information about things to do in and around Menlo Park and Palo Alto. We can recommend the best museums, art galleries and shops. We would like you to explore Silicon Valley and learn more about the culture of the area.

Because Eurocentres Silicon Valley is located in the San Francisco Bay Area, students are within driving distance of San Francisco and San Jose, which offer a wealth of sights and attractions that are sure to impress.

For those interested in volunteering in the community, there are after school opportunities available throughout Menlo Park and the surrounding area. Volunteer and immerse yourself in Silicon Valley. There is no fee for placement in volunteer programs, but opportunities are limited, so inquire as soon as possible. Sailing

 This 4 day course incorporates classroom instruction and on the water excercises to teach you the basic sailing fundamentals. Upon successful completion of this course you will recieve Basic Keelboat Certification from the American Sailing Association, with endorsement from the National Association of the State Boating Law Administrators.

Golf

 Beautiful public course, lessons taught by skilled professionals. Lessons available every day by appointment.

Horseback Riding

 Beginning, intermediate and advanced levels taught at this lovely club, a mere 20 minute walk from Eurocentres. Lessons available by appointment.

Reflexology and Massage

Reflexology, Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue/Sports, Acupressure, Aromatherapy, Shatsu, Reiki/Energy Work, Pre-natal. Lessons available Mon-Sat by appointment.

Cooking

Study a fantastic variety of international cuisines and learn to prepare interesting new dishes studying with professional chefs. Introductory to Super Advanced levels. One or two classes held each week.

Wine Tasting


 Experience wines from all over the world, with an emphasis on California wines. Every Saturday from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.
